I was privileged to be the Republican nominee for State Representative of District 11 in this past November’s election. When I spoke this spring with East Hartford Republican leaders about this year’s mayoral race and they encouraged me to run, I was honored to once again receive their support.
On a personal level, I am running for mayor because I love our town and believe it is worth fighting for.
My wife, Melanie, and I have raised our family here. East Hartford has been home to our three children since they were babies. Today, they are teenagers whom we are proud of–David, Daniel, and Jenna. I want our town to be a place where they can afford to raise their own families in prosperity and harmony.
I was a pastor for 16 years and am thankful for the many opportunities that role gave me to invest into our town. Ten years ago I had a growing desire to do more to impact the community, so I started and completed a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Health Services, thinking healthcare would continue to be a significant issue.
Today, East Hartford is in decline. It is painful to stand by and watch it happen. The people of our community deserve positive change, and I believe I can lead us where we need to go!
